Celebrating the 15th-anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series, Nike SB and Gundam is set to release one of the two special edition colorways this year.
Inspired by the protagonist Banagher Links' RX-0 Unicorn Gundam in Destroy Mode, the "Project Unicorn White" will also be dropping two limited edition figures of the QMSV RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode) Ver.NIKE SB and QMSV RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee (Destroy Mode).
Both figures measuring 20cm high will come with matching keychains and follow suit of the two "Project Unicorn" colorways in "Amarillo White" and "Thunder Blue". The mini versions follow the original figurine to a tee, but feature weaponry and armor along with sporting the Nike SB branding and new Nike SB Dunk High silhouettes.
Part one of a two-piece series, the "White/Amarillo" colorway mirrors the aforementioned with evident respect. The upper of the shoe is constructed of premium white leather and accented by panels of black and bright red piping elements.
The white leather base and bright red decals are designed like the mech itself, inching ever-closer with its custom toe box, collar, and heel counter. The "RX-0" stamp marks the heel adjacent to the much larger Unicorn insignia with additional stickers are included in the box for further
tweaking and the V-Fin reminiscent Swoosh is entirely detachable.
The Gundam branding is also visible onto the lower lateral heels together with the interchangeable Swooshes, tongue tags and printed insoles which have been modified to a golden hue and intricately styled to mimic the look of Gundam's V-Fin antennas.
The dark pair, on the other hand, falls on a black and blue-grey upper that is accented with hits of orange detailing with metallic gold swoosh.
A must-cop Dunk pairs for Gundam collectors and enthusiast.
