Carhartt is, in a manner of speaking, two brands. In the UK, we chiefly buy Carhartt Work in Progress: a division of the original label that began in 1989. This is a fashion line proper based around workwear, but still with a foot in the ongoing collab hype. An almost psychedelic concoction of 1970s-inspired Rock, eccentric patterns in a vintage color palette, and sharp tailoring highlighted Maison Kitsuné's FW20 collection at Paris Fashion Week which was led by former Creative Director Yuni Ahn, wherein this collection would be her last for the brand after only three seasons. Ahn — with previous stints such as working alongside acclaimed women's fashion designer Miuccia Prada at Prada subsidiary Miu Miu and serving as Design Director for Celine — was brought to the helm as Creative Director of Maison Kitsuné in 2018 due to her connections with the brands' founders Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki. From a shared passion for music and fashion, a partnership was born, and it's interesting to find out why it was so short-lived. To get a sense of the separation between Yuni Ahn and Maison Kitsuné, it's important to discuss the origin of the brand and the ethos that they stand for.

Adidas Sees Virtual Items As Its Next Big Product Category The German brand revealed its first collection of NFT wearables for virtual spaces just days after Nike announced the debut of its web3 platform. Just days after Nike announced the debut of a web3 platform where users will be able to buy and sell items like NFT sneakers and jerseys, Adidas has revealed its first collection of digital NFT wearables. The 16-piece set of “virtual gear” includes hoodies and outerwear that Adidas says owners will be able to use in different online environments, like on avatars in virtual worlds or as profile pictures. Adidas had previously released a collection of 30,000 non-wearable Into the Metaverse NFTs at the end of 2021, but the company said the launch Wednesday represents a new milestone. “It’s an official business area now,” said Erika Wykes-Sneyd, vice president of Adidas Three Stripes Studios, an in-house incubator and think tank for web3, metaverse and virtual member experiences. She likened the move into virtual gear to Adidas branching from footwear into apparel and then introducing Adidas Originals, calling the new digital items “the future archive for what comes next.”

We can probably all agree on this though: The Air Jordan I is a definite fan favorite. And it looks damn good – but only if worn the proper way. To give you some inspiration for how to style your Air Jordan Is in ways you might or might-not-have thought of before, here’s three outfits in celebration of the classic silhouette (including an important note about what not to wear with any Air Jordan I High). To match the preppy blue of a Air Jordan I like the ‘Mystic Navy’, an elevated city look never fails. To dress up, just opt for a cable vest and classic knitwear – preferably in toned down colors to keep the look balanced. Will this hold true？ These are the sneaker trends we’ll be wearing well into 2023 the Nike ACG Air Mada Trail running shoes have been hitting the pavement for a few years now, a result of our obsession with gorpcore and technical wear. A pair of Salomons come with their own baggage, considering every second person in the Inner West is sporting them these days. And although we did perk up at the Jacquemus x Nike collaboration which relaunched the Humara back into the mainstream, we were too slow to snap up a set. Which leads us to another mountaineering-forward style, the Nike All Conditions Gear Air Mada. Nature-ready since its inception in the 1994, the Air Mada fell into relative obscurity enjoying a small but loyal following until now. We dig the Sandalwood colourway, but just about all of them will send your heart thumping.

If you know sneakers, then Salehe Bembury should be a pretty familiar name. Versace’s ex-vice president of sneakers and men’s footwear has a long, impressive resume. Most remembered for his body of work with Yeezy, bembury is also known for being part of the team behind the Cole Haan LunarGrand collection, which featured Nike Lunarlon cushioning. At Versace, the seasoned shoe designer redefined and provided the iconic label street red by coming up with its unforgettable collaboration with KITH just a few years back as well as the iconic Chain Reaction shoe, inspired by rapper 2 Chainz, that drew the Medusa back into this hip-hop-obssessed generation’s consciousness. Styling: I style my resin Yeezy slides with comfy outfits. What I love about this fit is that the earth tones all match and everything is in perfect harmony. My cozy green hoodie matches the nineties shape beige shorts, it looks so lit! But the main piece of this outfit are slides and socks, they make everything look complete. To keep it bossy, I added a little detail with my vintage Dior necklace. Yeezy slides also look good with baggy jeans, alongside trackpants and more casual trousers too. The Yeezy slides feel like walking on clouds! I expected them to be comfortable from looking at the picture but they were even better when I tried them on. Since they have no seams or edges they don't cause any cuts or scratches like some other slides might. Also having a very rounded silhouette makes them roomy in a way that means they could fit different types of feet in one size and still be comfortable. As I said earlier, I tend to wear mine with socks which makes them the ultimate comfort shoe and they have been the only shoe I've worn this whole quarantine. They are without a doubt the comfiest slides I have ever owned or tried on.
