3 on 3 games mean more space, shots, passes and opportunities for every player. If you have been working on your ball handling, following last month’s tips, you should now have a little bit more confidence when putting the ball on the floor. This is a crucial aspect of 3 on 3 games, as you have to be able to beat your defender 1on1 and make good decisions under pressure. 3 on 3 is a perfect practice environment, as long as you don’t forget your fundamentals: A balanced body position is the foundation for all other basketball movements, on offence and defence Passing and cutting to the basket keeps the game flowing If in doubt, set a pick! Remind yourself of these simple rules every time you play. 3 on 3 Player Tips: Start in Triple Threat, keep your head up Your focus should be on the whole court, so use your peripheral vision If you can make one aggressive dribble move into the key, then DO IT! Call for a pick and roll to get your offence moving 3 on 3 Team Tips: Work in triangles, passing and cutting to the basket helps you work as a unit, Keep the key open and force the defenders to work hard, rather than just daring you to take the outside shot. Use Pick and Rolls on the ball, or cross-screens off the ball. The more the defenders have to think, the easier it will be for you to get open. Box out as a team when playing defence. Many players forget to work as a team, but 3 on 3 shows what a difference boxing-out and communicating can make. Liga season is here! And is a perfect time to make new friends and improve your skills while playing 3on3 basketball. Sa mga sasali diyan sa GetNice 3 on 3 tournament sa 17 and 18, Ensayo na! Good luck! -G$ #GetNice3x3

GetNice Fam, do you vent on Social Media? Venting On Social Media: Healthy Or Crazy? You’ve seen it, liked it, probably even indulged in it at some point. Welcome to the world of social media venting, where people are not afraid to air strong opinions about each and everything. Ever wondered if there is something much more to venting than letting off steam? According to various studies, it could be a sign of loneliness, depression, anxiety, even borderline personality disorder! But what do millennials think — do they see it as a healthy, harmless expression or a crazy, needy one? I think there are basically two kinds of people who vent on social media: those who want to express themselves, and those who are seeking attention. It is okay to ask for help, do not keep things inside as it will only boil over. There are people who love you immensely, seek refuge in them and you are not alone.

Hey brodies!Your community relationship feelingero guru here!Just checking in on the extended holiday!Hope you guys are well rested and ready for the start of the week!A little reminder to not forget to breathe when things get too heavy!Everything will be all okay! Some challenges are inconveniences that will trip you up on your path to your goals. Others are life-altering events that leave you feeling gutted. We cannot control some of the hardships that come our way, but we can always choose how we react to them. Your perceptions and the attitude you embody will be your best weapons in the fight to make everything ok again. Believing that everything will be ok is a crucial part of that attitude. Bad things happen and good things happen to each of us. The idea that life is a cycle of these events will help you get to the other side. As I look back on my life, I realize that every time I thought I was being rejected from something good. I was actually being redirected to something better。 kaya niyo yan。 -G$ out

A simple note to myself: The best advise I've received in 3 decades of existence is to cherish the relationship with one's self。A lot of people dear to me have come and gone, relationships change and as a result, so did these fragments of me I have shared。 No one is happy all the time. Nor are they positive or the best version of themselves each and every day. An important part of self love is holding yourself to reasonable standards. You must acknowledge that some days will be better than others, and that it’s totally okay to have an off day, or week or even a slump period. It’s important to check in with your emotional state frequently, so that you can recognize your moods and learn to accept them. In practice, this means not acting like things are fine, when you know they aren’t. How frustrated do you feel when someone says “I’m fine” or “It’s nothing” when they clearly are NOT fine and it clearly IS something?? Don’t play those same games with yourself. Tune into your emotional state so that you can act and plan accordingly! A huge part of your self care journey is learning to engage in positive self-talk. Self-talk is the inner dialogue we have running through our heads most hours of the day. Self-talk is normally something that we do unconsciously and it is often indicative of our subconscious thoughts and feelings. Sometimes our self-talk can be very negative, leading to feelings of self-doubt, self-judgement and even self-loathing. If you find that your self-talk narrative is overwhelmingly negative, don’t fear - there are mindfulness strategies you can use to shift your inner dialogue to be more positive. SO hang in there fam,Life is indeed hard but there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel。 G$ out
