First Looks // Nike Dunk Low “Goldenrod”

By now, you’re probably familiar with “Goldenrod” stylings. If you’re not, however, the Dunk Low “Goldenrod” blends yellow leather mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, collar flaps and heel tabs with black leather toeboxes, quarters and collars. Tongues are made of black nylon and embellished with yellow tag detailing plus trim. Laces are yellow as well, and a black Nike spellout appears on the heel. The insole’s Nike graphic is done up in bright orange for a unique pop of flair, and down below white midsoles team with yellow outsoles to complete the look.

The Nike Dunk’s college roots run deep. In fact, they were originally called the “College Color High” by designer Peter Moore, and were used as the key factor in Nike’s ability to sign a slew of national colleges in the period. The University of Michigan, University of Kentucky, University of Iowa, Syracuse, St. John’s, UNLV, and Georgetown were those signed, and the rest was history. Ever since, the colleges have been celebrated, with everything from Air Jordan PEs to OG Dunk Highs and Lows. Now it’s time to return to its roots with the Nike Dunk Low “Goldenrod” the next OG-inspired release to resurface.

Dressed in a Black, Goldenrod, and White color scheme. This Nike Dunk Low comes constructed in a full leather build featuring a Black base with Golden-Yellow overlays, Swooshes, branded tongues and rubber outsole. Black “NIKE” embroidery in the rear atop a White midsole with Orange branding on the insoles completes the design.
