If you havent noticed yet. Titan changed its platform from Magento to Shopify. Both are ecommerce platforms used by majority of businesses here for their online stores. Now it may be good news for some people but the negative out ways the good. Well this is just my personal opinion.
How it affect the sneaker community:
BOTs Globally will eat
Shopify has almost close to Zero bot protection. Shopify is the most botted platform in the history of websites. It also opens the international gates for global botters to attack Titan. Well if local botters are hard enough well watch how the Global community abuse this lol. However im pretty sure Titan will install some sort of bot protection in the next couple of weeks.
Cancelled Orders
Shopify is prone to cancelations or over solding the inventory. This is the common problem of shopify as also seen in parkaccess. Basically the system will still allow you to buy the shoe only to find out it has been cancelled a few minutes later. This will happen alot.
A new app wont come out soon
With the old platform gone. Titan may have to get a new app. As we all know making an app is not the easiest. Shopify apps are also known to be very expensive. So we may have to wait a few months unless they expedite the process
Limited Payment Gateways
Shopify has a limitation in Payment gateways. This is problematic especially for is filipinos. But atleast they have Gcash.

-Good range of themes to choose from
-Phone support available
-No real coding knowledge needed for magento commerce
-Magento is open source and free to use

Magento Cons ?
Has a bit of a learning curve
Quite difficult for beginners
Requires a lot of time to set up
Lots of costs associated with setting up your store
Magento Pricing
Magento doesn’t require a monthly subscription. This platform is free to download, install, and set up your store. However, you will have to pay for a domain and a hosting provider to be able to publish your website. The price for this service is flexible depends on your selection.
Besides, if you want to enhance your store’s capabilities, you can consider adding several integrations to your website. These apps can be found on Magento App Market, and the price can cost up to 750k to 1 million
Shopify Pricing
Unlike Magento, Shopify pricing is subscription-based. There are 5 pricing tiers that you can opt for ranging from 450 to over 100,000 per month. Fortunately, this plan includes both domain and hosting fees so you don’t have to worry about purchasing these elements.
Shopify offers a more affordable set of themes and website templates. While the maximum price for a theme on Magento can range up to 24,500, Shopify only charges 9,000 for its best website template in the market. On another note, this website builder asks for a fairly complicated way to calculate transaction fees based on your subscription plan.
Ease of use
When it comes to usability, Shopify clearly holds leverage against Magento. Thanks to the nature of a hosted platform, this eCommerce solution is quite easy to use. It is built for everyone, both tech-savvy and people with a little technical background. Users on Shopify won’t have much trouble building their stores.
On a different note, Magento is not as user-friendly as Shopify, especially for non-tech users. Although this platform grants users complete control over their website, it requires a comprehensive knowledge of technology to install and set up their online business.
A very good analogy is to compare it to a car. Shopify is your automatic transmission vehicle while Magento is your Manual transmission. While the automatic is easy to use. Once it breaksdown it going to be a headache. The manual aka magento will be hard to drive but once you get the hang of it,possibilities are endless. You dont see Nascar racers driving an authomatic lol.
