Can there be no event without Travis Scott’s me popping up? The Houston Rapper, hype machine, and notorious collaborator now have his fingerprints all over Air Max Day — and it’s got people abuzz. The SNKRS app and several sources have revealed a handful of teaser videos of a Travis Scott x Air Max 1 for the annual event, again capturing that familiar Travis Scott feel through brown, earthy tones, thick rope laces, a circus-like “Cactus Jack” banner in the back, and, of course, his signature flipped Swoosh.

After a few rounds of leaks, it was revealed that not one, not two, but five colorways would be dropping from late 2021 thru Spring 2022. Working mostly in earthy hues, the drops are set to arrive in Saturn Gold, Baroque Brown, Cave Stone, Wheat, and Grey Haze. It’s the two formers that will be releasing first, with Nike SNKS confirming earlier reports of a December 16 release, and with that news comes the official images of the duo so you can explore the pairs in greater detail than ever before.

You’ll see a design inspired by the ACG Pocket Knife, a drawstring Gillie lacing system, custom nubuck and mesh uppers that recall the ’90s utilitarian classic. This Air Max 1 features a rubberized Cactus Jack tongue logo and a custom CACT.US CORP outsole, and while the lateral side displays an unmistakable reverse Swoosh, the medial side of the sneaker’s design stays true to its OG Air Max 1 roots.
