For the past couple of years, we have seen a sudden surge of people coming into the
sneaker reselling business. As far as we know, most of the folks who have
entered the game were actually sneaker fans that used to pay resell prices –
due to the demands of the current situation and where getting extra bucks are
actually helpful, a lot of these sneaker fans have entered into the shoegame to
get that quick buck.

Old or new in the reselling game, we all know that there are just 2 kinds of pairs
bottomline – **a heat pair **or a brick pair. Again, these are
relative to how much hype there is around a certain shoe – is it a first
release of a certain model, is it a retro of a high demand model, is it a
collab, etc. That being said, there are really a lot of ways for you to make
the bucks – question is, will you be able to max out your profits?

Think of sneakers as money in a different form (like land being an asset, or money being
a stock certificate or bond). The differentiator for sneakers though is founded
on the basics of economics which is supply and demand. If you can remember when
the pandemic started, a facemask which originally costed almost nothing,
actually shot up to about 10USD a pop – crazy how demand causes the market to
fluctuate. This is the **exact freakin’ same **for sneakers – question is,
when do I make that decision to hold or sell?

Mistake –sell too fast without maxing the margins – you gotta think about the demand for
the sneaker.

Mistake –selling too low for the value or anticipated value – same ish as the above.

Mistake –holding on to a sneaker and thinking it would go up with no logic behind it –
or thinking that an extra 20 usd increase in year would actually be a win
(there is such a thing called inflation yo).
