It was Friday Aug 19, 2021, around 9 pm. Just woke up
feeling groggy and I was awakened by continues ping in my phone. I don’t have a
normal sleeping pattern as everyone does. I could be awake around 2 am or fully
asleep before lunch. Insomnia sucks specially if you try to be productive all
the time. Grabbed my phone to check what I have missed to catch up and attend
to important matters that needs my full attention. In my surprise I see a post
in Jordan Brand Only group aka JBO about a pair that did not pass out legit
check. I said to myself “here we go again”.
I checked the caption and the detailed pics. It even says with Receipt. I was like “wow
did we make a mistake?” Upon inspection it also has the Nike Park Tag in the
bottom of the shoe box. This could look bad on us as how did we tag this as
Fake as it looks legitimate. Did our appraiser make a mistake? I instantly
massaged our group chat to ask what’s up with this verdict. No one was home as
its already late. Looks like I must do this on my own boys.
I was trying to compose myself as I see the comments pilling up. A lot of people are
commenting that its NOT fake and we are the scums of earth for failing to do our
job. Though a little harsh I do understand the backlash and its deserving for
the said blunder. This is not the first rodeo. I need to check the pictures
better and find hints why our appraiser said its fake and maybe save some face.
More messages poured in my messenger and a few of my friends point out the said incident has
become somewhat viral. Some of them helped me analyze the pictures sent by the
owner of the shoe. Upon inspection we saw some inconsistency in the pairs.
Minor inconsistencies that an untrained eye wont catch in a single glance. The first thing we noticed was the wrong spelling in the Nike PH tag( the one you see in the back of the box)

Also notice the spelling of Bonifacio was misspelled to Bonifiacio. To the guy who printed that and i hope you are reading this. You only have one job and you have to screw it up.
Other inconsistency that a friend named Lance Comia pointed out was the size tagg and font also the toe box was inconsistent. The back also does not show hour glass shapped as usuall Legit Jordan 1 pairs have. Again at first glance you wont notice.
Also, to add, the receipt was legit or maybe made up but the date was April. Mochas
were released November or December depending on which store you got it.
Scary stuff since a lot of people depends on the receipt to check legitimacy.
To cut the story short. The shoes were fakes amidst the people who were screaming its
legit. It just shows how we as Filipinos don’t really fact check stuff but prefer
to jump the bandwagon as it’s the most convenient and you always want to ride
the winning side. To tell you honestly. The best fakes in the market now are
the Mochas, UNC/Obsedian 1s and the Jordan 11 breeds. The fakes are so good that it is
becoming scary.

correct verdict outweighs the wrong. For every 20k we LC there will be 100
wrong LC and we are certain that is above 98% accuracy. That accuracy is better
than having none.
The same as taking a Covid Vaccine.Its better to have one
than not having a protection at all. Just to add you can still Legit check pairs with other LC platform like Check Check app but it will come with a Fee.
