First Look Air Jordan 1 Low “True Blue”
Jordan brand has shown a penchant for honoring its own history, be it borrowed colorways or the modern line’s obsession with past influence. In fact, yesterday’s release of the Air Jordan 3 “Cardinal” was a nod to the OG Air Jordan 7 from 1991, and the upcoming Air Jordan 13 “French Blue” nods an original Air Jordan 3. Now this Air Jordan 1 Low “True Blue” looks to follow in the 13’s footsteps, with a similar scheme seen on 1988’s Ai Jordan 3 of the same name.
Arriving in a borrowed palette of white, blue, and grey the pair presents in atypical blocking and material to that seen on the Air Jordan 3. Though Elephant Print is present, it’s much darker in appearance at the heel and eyestay overlays. Royal Blue hues at the collar come in suede, with more pops at the liner, outsole, and heel Wings motif. The grey overlays at the forefoot look to light reptilian textures, whilst its white underlays and black Swooshes stick to smooth finishes.A release date for this new Air Jordan 1 Low “True Blue” did not accompany the images below, but you should expect to see these land at select Swoosh stockists and likely on Nike.com soon.
