June 15, 1779 - Brigadier General Anthony Wayne captured Stony Point, NY from the British. He said to General George Washington, "I'll storm the gates of hell if you will but plan the attack." Wayne lost only 15 Americans while the British suffered 95 casualties & 472 captured.
