It seems that the Nike Air Penny 2 will take over the Holiday season in 2022, with the first in-line release for the model appearing after collaborations from Social Status and Stussy. For Nike’s general release schedule, this new Nike Air Penny 2 “Black Patent” will kick things off, with official Nike.com imagery for the pair appearing today. Not too far distanced from the aforementioned Social Status collaboration, this too features a black upper, white midsole rise, and pops of light blue throughout – here, though, the GR proposition looks to simplified blocking and maximal materials. Prepared in a premium soft black leather, the upper is separated by its high-gloss overlays by bold white piping that goes almost unnoticed against the striking white midsoles rise and milky-translucent outsole underfoot. White and blacks then split the tongues and their pulls, with a first and final splash of Football Grey (it’s blue, tbh) at the brand marks to complete the design.
