Kiefer Ravena, Dwight Ramos, and Carl Tamayo will lead the way for Gilas Pilipinas Men in the upcoming FIBA Asia Cup 2022 that will be held from July 12 to 24 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The core of the team will be made up of several players who bannered Gilas during the third window of the FIBA World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifers.

The trio of Ravena, Ramos, and Tamayo all played crucial roles in the games against New Zealand and India in the qualifiers.

Guards SJ Belangel and RJ Abarrientos, along with a frontcourt group that includes William Navarro, Francis Lopez, Geo Chiu, and Kevin Quiambao, will bolster the team.

Gilas will also welcome Thirdy Ravena, Bobby Ray Parks, and Poy Erram back to the team.

The younger Ravena wasn’t part of the national team in the third window, but he was integral in the second window in February where he averaged 19 points in two games.

Parks last played for Gilas in 2017 during the 29th Southeast Asian Games. In his last season in the Japan B.League, Parks averaged 10.6 points per game and shot 38.7 percent from 3-point land.

Poy Erram, meanwhile, gives the team additional size. In nine games so far in the PBA Philippine Cup, the TNT big man is averaging 11.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks.

Also making a return to the bench is head coach Chot Reyes. He will be assisted by Nenad Vucinic, Jong Uichico, and Sandro Soriano in the tournament.
