This year marks the 29th anniversary of the birth of the famous Japanese fashion brand A BATHING APE®︎. To celebrate this year, BAPE and fashion media VOGUE have launched a cooperation plan, and the two parties will jointly bring a series of trendy items.
The joint series will include unisex clothing, children's clothing, hats, wallets and other accessories. The design integrates the essence of Japanese modern aesthetics and perfectly combines neutral atmosphere with comfort.
BAPE® combines the brand's most iconic ABC CAMO with VOGUE's signature reds and pinks, whites and blacks to create an exclusive camouflage pattern with a strong visual impact.
In addition to the combination of common colors, APE® classic ape head LOGO, BABY MILO® and VOGUE logo organically combine street trends with high-end fashion, showing unique visual effects.
In this collaboration series, BAPE® uses Japanese traditional Japanese paper crafts (WASHI PAPER) for the first time as packaging.
Washi is an ancient, durable and sustainable material that is used in traditional Japanese craftsmanship to make everyday objects such as umbrellas and paper lanterns.
This cooperation specially invited KŌKI Kimura, a well-known fashion model and actress in Japan, to shoot the advertising catalogue, and went deep into the Tokyo traditional tea room, which represents the essence of Japanese culture, to show the unique Japanese trend culture again.
