Last week friday aug 13, 2021 around noon. I recieved a message from some of my friends saying that i need to watch out for Titan22 as they will be releasing the Air jordan 1 lows Travis X Fragments. Very true to the intel i recieved. Titan actually did post on their IG a sneak peak that it will be available. I become rabid as its a pair im really looking forward to. Not a big fan of the High but i prefer the lows. Waited the whole day and the said public drop never happened to my dismay. Turns out there was indeed a drop that day but was focused to Friends and Families.
Who are the friends and families? they are but not limited to the word itself
1.Friends
a. Good friends of the owners
b. Athletes sponors
c. Business partners
2.families
a. Could be siblings cousin spouse etc.
A few of my friends who are Legit Friends and Families did indeed got an invoice link to purchase the shoe. Im not a friend of Big Boy and i am a huge fan btw and he is probably one of those. Is it cheating? Well in my humble opinion its not. They are entitled to recieve such perks and the company Titan22/Jordan store has the right who they deemed worthy for such status. Many of my fellow resellers and collectors alike are not happy how the FNF system works but it has been happening forever not just in sneakers culture. In a sense it adds hype to the shoe seing famous shoe personalities rocking and posting in social media.
The scarcity of the pairs locally got the public starving for a good reason.I was also
told that only around 60 plus pairs where only given to the public by Jordan store.
Most of the pairs went to Titan22. A public raffle is bound to happen and
sources said it will be on the 20th or could be earlier.
Truth be told as much as we want to think of ourselves as persons who insist on fairness for all people, we demand fairness especially when we are at the receiving end of an unfair circumstance.
Let us be careful before accusing somebody of unfairness. Neither should we become cynical, because life has always been unfair. A balanced view of life requires us to acknowledge that life is not fair and that we should not be ruled by emotions arising from being at the receiving end of unfairness. May we be governed by the hope that, at the end of all of this unfairness, we will come out as somebody better. That is our hope. May we strive to be fair in all our dealings, because it is the right thing to do, even if the world will never be completely fair. But if you think about it, It makes the shoe game so exciting. i enjoy always being the oppressed.
