For Jordan Brand fans, July always brings excitement with the latest Air Jordan release. Following last year's Air Jordan 38, the Air Jordan 39 has now been officially unveiled. It features the debut "Sol" colorway and a special Chris Paul PE, with nine more in-line launches slated.
Inspired by Jordan's famous crossover move, the Air Jordan 39 boasts a simpler design compared to the previous releases.
The standout feature is its advanced technology. It introduces ZoomX foam throughout the midsole combined with Air Zoom, marking the debut of ZoomX in Jordan Brand footwear. This combo offers lightweight cushioning and impressive bounce.
A first for Jordan basketball shoes. The upper, crafted from embroidered textile with a computational design, is tested and refined by Nike Sport Research Lab. The outsole boasts translucent herringbone traction for enhanced grip in key pivot areas.
As you wear them, the fit between your foot and the sole improves over time, ensuring a seamless integration. The shoe's appearance is anchored by supportive strips on each side, enhancing stability during multidirectional movements and maximizing the midsole's cushioning. Jordan Brand's cutting-edge sports tech also influenced the upper design. It incorporates insights from high-speed camera analysis of crossover movements, resulting in a unique pattern that flexes and supports as you move.
While most colorways like black and white are subtle, bold options like the all-red version make a statement. The Air Jordan 39 "Sol" drops on July 23 on Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Watch for more details on the other eight pairs in the lineup coming soon.
