During the course of his 20-year partnership with the Swoosh, LeBron James has frequently told stories of his past through footwear. Well documented is his journey from Akron to St. Vincent’s-St. Mary’s, to his many accolades — and even his part ownership in Liverpool, he has celebrated a storied life through sneakers. More recently, on the Nike LeBron 20, he has looked back to his playing career, from “The Debut” in Cleveland to a classic “Miami” colorway. Now, albeit ostensibly, the King takes another trip back to South Beach, with his newest signature sneaker appearing in a color scheme befitting of the SoFlo city.
Though it deliberately avoids LeBron’s “South Beach” arrangement, its abundance of bright hues — oranges, pinks, teals, purples, and blacks — showcase a broader SoBe scheme. Here, it looks to a striking orange engineered mesh upper, with patent leather-tipped tongues and pastel pink inner booties. Dual Swoosh overlays add patent, too, with light lavender and rich magenta both resting directly above a teal-tinted midsole, peach forefoot, and purple rubber outsole underfoot. There’s a few more pops of patent to be found, with striking neon eyestays and rear patches rounding out the vivacious design.
